What are the qualifying marks for RSSB LDC?

A candidate must score a minimum of 40% in each Phase I paper (Paper I and Paper II separately), and a minimum of 36% in each Phase II typing paper. SC and ST candidates get a 5% relaxation in each paper of each phase. Both papers must be cleared individually — clearing on aggregate alone is not enough.

How is the RSSB LDC typing test marked?

The typing test has two papers: Hindi for 50 marks (speed 25 + accuracy 25) and English for 50 marks (speed 25 + accuracy 25). A minimum of 36% is required in each of the two typing papers, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Are PwD candidates exempt from the RSSB LDC typing test?

Yes. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities who are exempt from the typing test are not required to appear for Phase II. In place of typing-test marks, the average of their Phase I marks is taken for the purpose of the merit calculation.

What is the minimum educational qualification for RSSB LDC?

Senior Secondary (12th class) pass from a recognised board, together with one of the accepted computer qualifications. Working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture are also required.

Is CET (Senior Secondary) 2024 mandatory for RSSB LDC 2026?

Yes. A valid CET (Senior Secondary) 2024 score is the mandatory entry gate for RSSB LDC 2026. Without a qualifying CET 2024 score, a candidate could not apply for this recruitment.

Is the CET 2024 score still valid for this recruitment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. CET (Senior Secondary Level) 2024 scores are valid for the RSSB Advt. 04/2026 cycle. Score cards were issued on 17 February 2025, and CET scores remain valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

Is RSCIT mandatory for RSSB LDC?

Accepted Answer

No — RSCIT is only one of six acceptable computer qualifications, and any one of them is sufficient: RSCIT from VMOU Kota; NIELIT 'O' Level or a higher level; COPA or DPCS certificate; a degree or diploma in Computer Science; Class 12th with Computer Science as a subject; or a Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering.

What if I do not hold a computer qualification?

Accepted Answer

A computer qualification is a hard eligibility requirement, and its certificate must be produced at document verification. A candidate who does not hold any of the six accepted qualifications is rejected at that stage. RSCIT (a roughly 3-month course from VMOU Kota) is the quickest of the six to acquire.

What is the age limit for RSSB LDC 2026?

Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 1 January 2027. An additional 1 year is allowed for RPSC and Administrative Reforms posts, and an additional 3 years for Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board and Board of Secondary Education posts, because of the delayed previous cycle.

What age relaxations are available for RSSB LDC?

Rajasthan SC / ST / OBC / MBC males get +5 years; general-category women +5 years; Rajasthan reserved-category women +10 years; Persons with Disabilities +5 years on top of their category relaxation; ex-servicemen +15 years subject to a maximum age of 50; and widows and divorcees have no upper age limit within the service retirement age. Relaxations are non-cumulative — only one applies per candidate.

How many children can a candidate have and still be eligible?

Under the personnel department notification of 16 March 2023, a candidate with more than two children born on or after 1 June 2002 is not eligible. Exceptions apply for twins from a single delivery, for children with a disability from an earlier delivery, and in cases of remarriage.

Can candidates from outside Rajasthan apply for RSSB LDC?

Accepted Answer

Yes, candidates from any state may apply. However, non-Rajasthan applicants are treated as General category for reservation purposes — they cannot claim SC / ST / OBC / MBC / EWS reservation, fee concessions or category age relaxation, and are judged against the General cutoff.

Can married women apply using a certificate in their husband's name?

Married women may apply, but for caste, OBC / MBC or EWS reservation the certificate must be issued in the father's name, residence and income — not the husband's. EWS is the one exception: an EWS certificate based on either the father's or the husband's details is accepted.

Is there a height or physical fitness requirement for RSSB LDC?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no height or physical standard for this post. Candidates must be in sound mental and physical health and free of any defect that would interfere with the duties of the post; a medical certificate from the district Chief Medical & Health Officer is required at the time of appointment.

Which documents are needed for RSSB LDC document verification?

Accepted Answer

Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates; the computer qualification certificate (one of the six accepted); the CET (Senior Secondary) 2024 score card; Rajasthan domicile / bonafide certificate for category benefits; caste certificate in the prescribed format from the competent authority; Non-Creamy Layer certificate for OBC / MBC (issued within the last year); EWS certificate where applicable (issued within the last year); PwD certificate with UDID card for 40% or more disability; original Class 10th certificate as date-of-birth proof; character certificate not older than 6 months from the last institution attended; and the marriage registration certificate required for government service under the order of 22 May 2006.

Is the typing test mandatory for RSSB LDC?

Yes. After clearing the written exam, a typing test in both Hindi (Devanagari) and English must be cleared, with at least 36% in each of the two typing papers (5% relaxation for SC/ST). Only Persons with Benchmark Disabilities who are exempt from typing are excused, in which case the average of their Phase I marks is used instead.
