Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

MockSutra (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website www.mocksutra.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

We are committed to keeping your data safe and to being transparent about how it is used.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

  • Phone number, when you sign in. We use one-time password (OTP) verification to confirm it’s really you. One phone number identifies one account.
  • Any information you choose to add to your profile (such as your name or the exams you follow).

Information created as you use the Service

  • Your test attempts, scores, answers, and progress — so we can show your history, analysis, and performance over time.
  • Basic account and usage records needed to operate features like saved progress and analysis.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, time spent, general location (country/region), browser and device type, and referring source (for example, whether you arrived from a Google search). This is collected through analytics tools, including Google Analytics (see Section 3).
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored in your browser that keep you signed in and help us understand how the Service is used (see Section 4).

We do not ask for or store sensitive financial information such as full card numbers or bank passwords.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service — sign-in, mock tests, solutions, and your saved progress and analysis.
  • Verify your identity through OTP and keep your account secure.
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can improve content, fix problems, and decide what to build next.
  • Communicate with you about your account or important changes where necessary.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent, general location (country/region), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This helps us improve the Service. Google may process this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar browser storage to:

  • Keep you signed in and maintain your session.
  • Remember basic preferences.
  • Measure and understand usage through analytics (see Section 3).

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect features like staying signed in.

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Service providers who help us operate — such as hosting, database, OTP delivery, and analytics providers — who process data on our behalf.
  • Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the Service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see Section 11).

8. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction — you can view and update your profile information.
  • Account deletion — you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us (see Section 11).
  • Analytics opt-out — see Section 3.
  • Cookie controls — see Section 4.

9. Third-party links

The Service may link to other websites (for example, official government notification pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies separately.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for exam aspirants and general users. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the Service.
