Ans. (B) Shah ShujaMaharaja Ranjit Singh obtained the Koh-i-Noor in 1813 from Shah Shuja, the deposed Afghan ruler who had taken refuge in Lahore, in return for shelter and help. After the annexation of Punjab (1849), the British took the diamond under the Treaty of Lahore and presented it to Queen Victoria.

The book, section by section

Total questions is how many times the 94papers set a question. Each question is printed once, so repeated questions = total − unique. After the five sections come 4 complete papers printed as set (455 questions, pp. 487–518) and three OMR sheets.

Current affairs analysis

Current affairs is one of the most important parts of the paper

This book carries every static question the Commission has asked since 2015. Current affairs changes with every exam, so it lives on our site instead — here is what 908 PPSC current-affairs questions tell you about how to prepare it.

It almost never comes back

Of 548 different current-affairs questions, only 11 were asked in more than one year — 2%. For every other kind of question the figure is 6.9%. Last year's news gives the least return for the time.

About one-tenth of a paper, sometimes a fifth

In 57 papers of 60 or more questions, the middle paper had 10% current affairs and the heaviest 33%. Plan for one-tenth of the paper; be ready for one-fifth.

“Current” means the last 12 to 18 months

Of the 192 current-affairs questions that name a year, 74% are about the exam year itself and 97% about that year or the one before. Read the six months on either side of your exam date, not two years back.

About two-fifths of current affairs is International, National and Sports. Government Schemes, Defence and Appointments are best learnt as lists. Punjab’s own current affairs is a small part, but no national magazine will cover it for you.

Why candidates choose this book

4,073 questions from 94 PPSC papers, 2015 to 2026, in one volume of 521 pages. Here is what that gives you.

  • Every paper in one place

All 94 PPSC papers from 2015 to March 2026, so you are not collecting PDFs and photocopies to find out what has actually been asked.

  • Arranged the way you revise

Section first, then topic. You finish a topic in one sitting instead of meeting it once every few years as you work through paper after paper.

  • A solution for every question

Each answer carries a short explanation. Where the official key is wrong, or the question is defective as set, the book says so and shows why.

  • Repeats are marked

618 questions have been asked in more than one paper. Each carries a badge with the count, so you can see what the Commission keeps coming back to.

If you find a PPSC paper from 2015–2026 whose questions are not in this book, tell us and we will add it to the next print run.

Questions people ask before ordering

Which papers does the book cover?

94 Punjab PSC papers from 2015 to 2026 — PCS Prelims, Naib Tehsildar, Senior Assistant, Cooperative Inspector, Principal, DDSWO and more. Questions are grouped by subject and topic rather than by post, because the General Knowledge and reasoning PPSC sets is largely common across them.

How many questions are there, and are any repeated?

4,073 questions over 521 pages. Each question is printed once however many papers set it. The 618 that were asked in more than one paper carry an "asked n×" badge, so you can see which ones the Commission keeps coming back to.

Are solutions included?

Yes — every question has an answer with a short explanation, not just an answer key. Where the official PPSC key is wrong, or the question is defective as set, the solution says so and shows why.

What are the OMR sheets for?

The book includes detachable OMR sheets and full-length question papers, laid out the way they appear in the real PPSC exam. You can attempt a full paper at home against the clock, bubble your answers and mark yourself — which is a different skill from reading questions.

Is the book in English or Punjabi?

Both, as the papers were set. The Punjabi section prints in Gurmukhi. The English sections print the Commission's own English wording, including the bilingual Naib Tehsildar paper. A few Punjab GK questions that were asked only in Punjabi are printed in English so they sit with the rest of their topic.

How long does delivery take, and is it extra?

Delivery is included in the ₹999. Orders are dispatched within 2 working days and usually arrive in 3–5. The tracking number is sent to the mobile number on the order.

Is there a PDF version?

Not at the moment — this is a printed book only. If you want to work PPSC questions on screen, the free previous-year papers on MockSutra are the better fit, and they cost nothing.

Does it cover current affairs?

Deliberately not, beyond one analysis page at the front. Current-affairs questions repeat across years at 2.3% against 7.1% for everything else, so working old ones is the poorest-value revision in the paper — and print cannot stay current. The free monthly current-affairs digest on the site covers that instead.
