About PSSSB Patwari
Punjab Patwari is the entry-level revenue post of the Punjab Government, recruited by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) for the Department of Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management. The last recruitment, Advertisement No. 02 of 2023, offered 710 Revenue Patwari posts; online applications ran from 23 February to 20 March 2023 and the written test was held on 14 May 2023. The cycle before that, Advertisement No. 01 of 2021, was the largest in recent memory with 1,152 posts of Patwari, Zilladar and Irrigation Booking Clerk, filled through a two-stage test on 8 August and 5 September 2021.
A fresh Patwari notification is awaited. Press reports through September 2026 have repeatedly put the coming recruitment at about 1,000 posts, but PSSSB has not yet published the advertisement, so the vacancy count, dates and fee on this page will be filled in the day it is released. Until then everything here — pattern, syllabus, eligibility, pay and cut-offs — is taken from the official 2023 documents, which are the best guide to what the next paper will look like.
The 2023 pattern is a single OMR paper of 150 questions in 2 hours 30 minutes: Part-A is a 50-question Punjabi qualifying test (10th standard, minimum 50% to have Part-B evaluated) and Part-B is the 100-question merit paper covering General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability, English, Punjabi, ICT and Punjab History & Culture, with one-fourth negative marking. Eligibility is a bachelor's degree, a 120-hour computer course (or NIELIT/DOEACC 'O' Level) and Punjabi at Matriculation, for candidates aged 18 to 37.

What is the salary of a Punjab Patwari?
Level-2 of the 7th CPC pay matrix with initial pay of ₹19,900 (scale ₹19,900 – ₹63,200). During the one-year Patwar School and six-month field training only a stipend of ₹5,000 per month is paid.
What was the PSSSB Patwari cut-off in 2023?
PSSSB does not publish a formal cut-off, but its first counselling list (28 June 2023) shows the merit range: the topper had 97.98 in Part-B, and the lowest scores among those called were about 91.41 (open), 87.37 (EWS), 87.88 (BC) and 78.79 (SC). Later lists went lower as seats were filled.
