A survey was conducted among those whose age was 15 years or above, and who had access to four different types of vaccines for COVID-19. These vaccines are Covaxin, Covishield and Sputnik, each of them requiring an administration of two doses, and Sputnik Light requiring the administration of only one dose. Among those surveyed, no one had done “mix and match”, that is, no one had taken one dose of one vaccine (say, Covaxin) and another dose of another vaccine (say, Covishield), and not even one dose of Sputnik Light and a dose of Sputnik. And no one had taken more than two doses of any vaccine. Those whose age is 15 years or above but below 18 years are eligible to be administered only Covaxin and not the other vaccines. All those whose age is 18 years or above are eligible for all these vaccines. No one was administered a vaccine they are not eligible for. Refer to the following pie charts. Chart 1 shows the percentages of those who had taken only one dose of one of these vaccines, those who had taken both doses and those who had taken none. Chart 2 shows the percentages of those who had taken Covishield, Covaxin, Sputnik and Sputnik Light, among those who had taken at least one dose of any of these vaccines.
