Download steps, exam day instructions, and what to carry to the centre
Call letters for both the Preliminary and Main Examinations are downloaded from www.ibps.in using the registration number and password / date of birth. No hard copy is sent by post or courier. The Preliminary call letter is not collected at the venue — it is stamped by venue staff, returned, and must be produced again at the Main Examination.

How to Download — Step by Step
Go to the official IBPS website, www.ibps.in.
Open the CRP CSA-XVI call letter download link.
Log in with your registration number and password, or date of birth.
Download the call letter and, if you opted for a scribe, the separate scribe declaration form.
Print the call letter, paste the same photograph you uploaded, and carry one additional copy of that photograph.

Verify each of these before exam day. If anything is incorrect, contact the IBPS helpdesk immediately.

Must Carry
- The valid call letter for that date and session
- Original photo identity proof bearing exactly the name on the call letter — PAN card, passport, permanent driving licence, voter's card, bank passbook with photograph, Aadhaar / e-Aadhaar with photograph, employee ID, Bar Council identity card, or photo identity issued by a Gazetted Officer or People's Representative on official letterhead
- A photocopy of that same photo identity proof
- One additional photograph identical to the one pasted on the call letter
- At the Main Examination: the stamped Preliminary call letter and the stamped photocopy of the ID proof
- The completed scribe declaration form, where a scribe has been opted for
Prohibited
- Stationery — textual material, bits of paper, geometry or pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log tables, electronic pen or scanner
- Communication devices — mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band
- Goggles, handbags, hair-pins, hair-bands, belts and caps
- Ornaments — rings, earrings, nose-pins, chains or necklaces, pendants, badges, brooches
- Any watch or wrist watch, camera, or device with screen-freeze or storage capability
- Any metallic item
- Any eatable item, opened or packed, and water bottles
- Ration Card and Learner's Driving Licence — these are not accepted as ID proof either
Reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before reporting time. Late entry is not permitted. Any prohibited item found during frisking may lead to disqualification.

When is the IBPS Clerk 2026 exam?
The notification gives a tentative schedule by month: Pre-Examination Training and Preliminary call letters in September 2026, the Online Preliminary in October 2026, the Preliminary result and Main call letters in November 2026, the Online Main in December 2026, and Provisional Allotment in March 2027. Exact dates are announced on www.ibps.in.
