To apply for IBPS PO 2026, a candidate must be an eligible Indian citizen (or from the specified categories), hold a graduate degree in any discipline as on 21.07.2026, and meet the age criteria as on 01.07.2026. Age relaxations apply to reserved categories, PwBD and ex-servicemen.

Qualification

Educational qualification

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • The candidate must hold a valid mark-sheet / degree certificate proving graduate status on the day of registration and indicate the percentage of marks.
  • The final result must have been declared on or before 21.07.2026.
  • Candidates must produce documentary proof of CGPA-to-percentage conversion where applicable.

Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries — with an eligibility certificate from the Government of India where required.
