Step by Step

How to apply

1

Scan the four required images first

Before applying, scan your photograph (200×230 px, 20–50 KB), signature (140×60 px, 10–20 KB, black ink, not capital letters), left thumb impression (240×240 px, 20–50 KB) and the hand-written declaration in English (800×400 px, 50–100 KB) per Annexure-II. The application will not register without all four uploads.

2

Open the application on SBI's careers portal

Visit https://sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings, find 'Special Recruitment drive for Junior Associates 2026' and open the Online Application Form under Recruitment of Junior Associates.

3

Fill the form and choose State/UT and local language

Fill carefully — you can save and re-edit only three times using the provisional registration number and password generated on screen. Opt for ONE local language for the language test, pick your exam centre, and indicate scribe/Pre-Examination Training options if applicable. No change or correction (including category) is permitted after submission.

4

Capture the live photograph

In addition to the uploaded photograph, a live photo is captured via webcam ('Capture Photo') or by scanning the QR code with a mobile phone ('Click here to Scan'). No cap, coloured glasses or small-size photo.

5

Pay the fee online (OBC only)

Pay ₹750 (OBC) by debit card, credit card or Internet Banking through the integrated payment gateway; SC/ST/PwBD/XS/DXS pay nothing. Transaction charges, if any, are borne by the candidate. The fee is non-refundable. If the transaction fails, register again and pay online.

6

Save the e-receipt and application printout

On successful payment, the e-receipt and application form with fee details are generated — print them for your record. The printout is NOT to be sent to SBI. Aadhaar details are optional in the form; the Bank may conduct online Aadhaar verification at different stages.

Important instructions

  • Only SC, ST and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are eligible under this drive. OBC candidates in the Creamy Layer cannot apply; the NCL-clause certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2026.
  • Candidates currently working in SBI in the clerical cadre, and those who earlier resigned from SBI while in clerical cadre, are NOT eligible to apply.
  • One application only. In case of multiple applications, only the last valid (completed) application is retained and fees paid on the others are forfeited. Multiple appearance in the exam leads to summary rejection.
  • No change in category or correction in any particulars is permitted after registration — no correspondence, email or phone will be entertained.
  • The saved application can be re-opened and edited only three times before final submission.
  • Candidates may appear for the examination from any notified centre, but the specified local language test is held at a centre (decided by the Bank) in the State applied for, at the candidate's own expense. No request for change of centre, date or session is entertained.
  • Keep the registered email ID and mobile number active until the declaration of results — call letters and advice go there. No hard copy of any call letter or booklet is sent by post.
  • Apply well before 27 August 2026 — SBI assumes no responsibility for failure to submit due to website load on the last date.
  • Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification. SBI does not endorse or associate with any coaching platform, consultancy or channel claiming guaranteed selection or insider guidance — rely solely on SBI's official career portal.
  • Records of this project are not maintained after one year of the declaration of the online test result.
