AIFF to Launch India's First U15 Women's Youth League in Belagavi on 15 October 2026

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will launch the inaugural U15 Women's Youth League on 15 October 2026 at the Sporting Planet Sports Complex in Belagavi, Karnataka, with the final on 31 October 2026. Sixteen teams will be split into four groups of four, with the top two from each group entering the quarter-finals, followed by semi-finals and the final. Participants include SESA Football Academy, Sethu FC, PFC Kerala, Krida Prabodhini Pune and Mumbai Knights FC. The competition follows the AIFF U17 Women's Youth League launched in July 2026, extending the federation's age-group pathway for women's football.

Indian para-archer Sheetal Devi, 19, shot 704 out of 720 in the women's compound ranking round at the 5th Asian Para Games on 19 October 2026 at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Square, Aichi-Nagoya, equalling the world record held by Turkey's Oznur Cure. Her card included 32 X-ring hits and 57 arrows scoring 10.
