India Hosts 12th BRICS Environment Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi
Under its 2026 BRICS Chairship, India hosted the 12th BRICS Environment Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi, chaired by Union Minister Bhupender Yadav of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC). The meeting concluded with adoption of a Joint Ministerial Statement (JMS) and the launch of four compendiums documenting member-country practices in environmental management. It is the environment leg of the same chairship calendar that produced the BRICS ICT Track at Pune, the Tourism Ministers' Jaipur Declaration and the Youth Ministers' Meeting at Visakhapatnam, all feeding into the leaders' summit agenda.
