India continued its strong campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland (held 23 July - 2 August 2026). On Day 6 (29 July), Dilip Mahadu Gavit clinched gold in the men's 100m T47 with a Games-record 10.71 seconds, while Mohammed Basil M took silver to complete a historic Indian 1-2 finish in para-athletics. Murali Sreeshankar won silver in the men's long jump with a best of 8.09m (Jamaica's Tajay Gayle took gold with 8.15m), and Gulveer Singh earned a historic silver in the men's 10,000m. India's boxers also swept their quarter-finals, with six pugilists advancing to the semi-finals. Earlier in the Games, Mirabai Chanu delivered a weightlifting gold. Glasgow 2026 is a scaled-down edition featuring around 11 sports and 74 participating nations.

Indian para-archer Sheetal Devi, 19, shot 704 out of 720 in the women's compound ranking round at the 5th Asian Para Games on 19 October 2026 at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Square, Aichi-Nagoya, equalling the world record held by Turkey's Oznur Cure. Her card included 32 X-ring hits and 57 arrows scoring 10. The score is also a new Asian record, six points better than her 698 at Bangkok in March 2026, and above her Asian Para Games mark of 680 at Hangzhou in 2023.
