Social Justice Ministry Ties Up with Ramakrishna Mission for 'Creating Intergenerational Bonding'
On 1 September 2026, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment signed an MoU in New Delhi with the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission to roll out the nationwide 'Creating Intergenerational Bonding' initiative connecting children, parents and grandparents. The Ramakrishna Mission is the implementing partner, and the scalable model will be piloted in 200 schools through co-learning games, a bilingual resource platform and teacher certification. Signed in the presence of Union Minister Virendra Kumar, the programme complements existing senior-citizen schemes such as Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY) and the Elderline national helpline.
