India Sends Bailey Bridge Components to Flood-Hit Nepal
India dispatched on 12 September 2026 the first consignment of components for a 70-metre Bailey bridge to Nepal, handed over to Nepal's Road Division at Hetauda for installation at Betrawati in Nuwakot district. The bridge will restore connectivity lost to flash floods on 26 August 2026, triggered by a glacial event near the Nepal-Tibet border that struck the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli river system.
