8th Edition of India-US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Exercise Begins in Kochi
The Indian Navy (IN) and the United States Navy (USN) commenced the 8th edition of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Exercise 2026 at the Southern Naval Command, Kochi, Kerala, held from 10 to 14 August 2026. The five-day bilateral exercise aims to enhance interoperability, operational synergy and professional cooperation between the specialist diving and EOD teams of the two navies. It includes Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs), cross-training sessions, equipment demonstrations and scenario-based practical exercises. The 7th edition (SALVEX) was conducted from 26 June to 6 July 2023 in Kochi.
