Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra was appointed the first Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the Ram Temple at Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, in September 2026. He was selected from a shortlist of three after scrutiny of 5,585 applications; the other finalists were Major General Sanjay Pratap Singh Bisht and Shruti Bharadwaj. Mishra headed the Western Air Command during Operation Sindoor, retired from the IAF in April 2026, and has over 3,000 flying hours across 18-plus aircraft types. Govind Dev Giri became General Secretary and Mahesh Bhagchandka Treasurer, while Nirmala Yadav became the Trust's first woman trustee.

Centre Appoints Three Part-Time Non-Official Directors to RBI Central Board
