MYAS grants conditional recognition to Judo Federation of India
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) granted conditional recognition to the Judo Federation of India (JFI), allowing it to resume governance, organise championships, select athletes and ensure India's participation in domestic and international events. Recognition followed JFI's agreement to comply with MYAS directives and the National Sports Development Code, 2011. JFI had been under a court-appointed administrator since 2022; after a Delhi High Court ruling in February 2026, it held its AGM and aligned with the National Sports Governance Act, 2025. Interim committee: Mukesh Kumar (President), Banee Brata Das (Secretary General), Shailesh Shrikant Tilak (Treasurer).
