MoSPI Releases National Accounts Statistics 2026; FY26 Real GDP Growth Revised to 7.8%
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) released National Accounts Statistics 2026 on 31 August 2026, carrying 60 statements built on Final Estimates for FY23 and FY24, First Revised Estimates for FY25 and revised indicators for FY26. Real GDP growth was revised to 7.3% for FY24 (from 7.2%), 7.2% for FY25 (from 7.1%) and 7.8% for FY26 (from 7.7%), while nominal growth for FY25 and FY26 was cut to 9.4% and 8.6%. The publication uses the new 2022-23 base year series introduced on 27 February 2026, replacing 2011-12. MoSPI separately reported 7.8% real and 10.3% nominal GDP growth in Q1 of FY 2026-27.
