The Pacific island nation of Nauru officially adopted the name Republic of Naoero, confirmed by President David Adeang on 31 July 2026. "Naoero" is the indigenous Nauruan name. Nauru is the world smallest island nation (about 21 sq km), in the Pacific Ocean northeast of Australia, and a member of the Commonwealth and the Pacific Islands Forum.

Nathu La Border Trade with China to Resume from 1 August After Six Years

India and Bhutan Sign Rs 4,000 Crore Concessional Line of Credit

On 31 July 2026, India and Bhutan signed a concessional Line of Credit (LoC) worth Rs 4,000 crore (Nu 40 billion) during the Fifth India-Bhutan Development Cooperation Talks in Thimphu.
