Kabaddi Star Pawan Sehrawat Named India's Male Flag-Bearer for the Asian Games 2026
Pawan Sehrawat, a kabaddi raider, was named India's male flag-bearer for the Asian Games 2026 opening ceremony at Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on 19 September 2026. He replaced shot-putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor, whose ceremonial kit was due to reach Nagoya airport only at 3 pm, leaving him unavailable. Shooter Manu Bhaker remains the female flag-bearer, as announced a day earlier when Bhaker and Toor were first named as the pair. Sehrawat was part of India's gold-winning men's kabaddi team at the previous Asian Games. India has sent a 503-member contingent to the Games, given a formal send-off in New Delhi earlier this month.
