DGFT Extends the RoDTEP Export Tax Refund Scheme to 31 December 2026
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme by three months to 31 December 2026, through a notification dated 30 September. Existing rates and value caps under Appendices 4R and 4RE stay unchanged, and benefits continue for Domestic Tariff Area units, Advance Authorisation holders, Special Economic Zone units and Export Oriented Units. RoDTEP refunds embedded central, state and local duties and taxes that no other scheme rebates through transferable electronic duty-credit scrips issued on the ICEGATE portal. It replaced the WTO-incompatible MEIS in January 2021.
