PM Modi Distributes Over 51,000 Appointment Letters at the 20th Rozgar Mela
On 19 September 2026 Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth at the 20th Rozgar Mela, held simultaneously at 45 locations across India through video conferencing. The recruits will join Union ministries and departments including Revenue, Railways, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Financial Services and Defence, in administrative, technical and support roles. With this edition the cumulative number of appointment letters issued under the initiative reached about 12.75 lakh. Union Minister Giriraj Singh was chief guest at the Patna event in Bihar. The government linked the drive to the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana for private-sector job creation.
