Territorial Army and CyberPeace Launch National Hackathon 'Terrier Cyber Quest 2026'
The Territorial Army, in collaboration with CyberPeace, launched Terrier Cyber Quest 2026 (TCQ 3.0), a national-level hackathon seeking indigenous solutions to defence, cybersecurity and information-domain challenges. It draws participants from academia, industry, research institutions, government bodies and the Armed Forces across three tracks: Bug Hunting, an online Capture-the-Flag qualifier leading to a live sandbox finale on simulated critical infrastructure; AI Kavach, an AI/machine-learning challenge on predictive threat intelligence, automated defence and anomaly detection; and the Creators Challenge, a digital-storytelling contest building public awareness against deepfakes, phishing, online scams and misinformation.
The Territorial Army was raised on 9 October 1949; Territorial Army Day is observed on 9 October | India's nodal cyber-incident agency is CERT-In, under MeitY | The National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC) operates under the NTRO
