India to Host UCI Road World Championships 2032 in Pune
The Union Cycliste Internationale awarded the 2032 UCI Road World Championships to Pune, Maharashtra - the first time India will host road cycling's flagship annual worlds. The decision was unveiled at the UCI's 195th Congress in Montreal, Canada on 23 September 2026. The bid was led jointly by the Government of Maharashtra and the Cycling Federation of India, beating Groningen/Drenthe, Netherlands in the final round after Colombia and Mexico were eliminated. India becomes only the fourth Asian host, after Japan (Utsunomiya 1990), Qatar (Doha 2016) and the UAE (Abu Dhabi 2028). The UCI also named hosts for 19 world championships across 11 countries for 2027-2034.
