West Bengal announces ₹313-crore special package for tea garden workers under PMCSP

WB CM Suvendu Adhikari announced ₹313 crore special assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Cha Shramik Protsahan Yojana: ₹177 crore for education (Cha Shramik Shiksha Yojana), ₹72 crore for health (Swasthya Suraksha) and ₹63 crore for 321 resting sheds with off-grid solar power (Aashray Yojana). Nodal agency: North Bengal Development Department. PMCSPY is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme for tea workers in Assam and West Bengal (initial outlay ₹1,000 crore, extended until FY27).
