India to Host 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on 12-13 September 2026
The Ministry of External Affairs announced that India will host the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on 12 and 13 September 2026. India assumed the BRICS chairship on 1 January 2026 under the theme "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability", and has already held over 350 meetings across 25 Indian cities, including the BRICS Environment Ministers' and Tourism Ministers' meetings that adopted the Jaipur Declaration. The summit marks the 20th anniversary of the grouping, formed as BRIC in 2006. India previously chaired BRICS in 2012, 2016 and 2021.
