Delhi Cabinet Approves Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: Rs 2,500 Monthly Aid to Women
In July 2026, the Delhi cabinet, chaired by CM Rekha Gupta, approved the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, providing Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance to eligible women, with a total outlay of Rs 5,110 crore for 2026-27. Online registration opens on 1 August 2026, with the first instalment scheduled for 28 August 2026 (Raksha Bandhan). Eligibility: women aged 21-60 years, annual family income up to Rs 2.5 lakh, and permanent Delhi residents for at least 10 years. Exclusions include income taxpayers, government employees, and pension/other-scheme beneficiaries.
