India Becomes the 26th Country to Join the US-Led 'Call to Action for 6G Leadership and Security'
India joined the Call to Action for 6G Leadership and Security, a multilateral framework led by the US National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), becoming the 26th signatory alongside the United States and 24 other nations. The decision followed a meeting between Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada and US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick at Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on the sidelines of the G20 Innovation Ministerial. The grouping seeks secure, interoperable and innovation-driven next-generation telecom networks. India is pursuing the same goal domestically through the Bharat 6G Mission, which targets global leadership in 6G intellectual property and affordable telecom products by 2030.
