Maharashtra Signs MoU with Germany's Hesse on Investment, Innovation and Skills
The Government of Maharashtra and the German federal state of Hesse signed an MoU at Sahyadri Guest House, Mumbai, covering investment, industry, innovation, employment and skill development. It was signed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Boris Rhein, Minister-President of Hesse. A Joint Working Group (JWG) is to be set up within 90 days to finalise the implementation framework, identify cooperation opportunities and facilitate exchange of business delegations. Focus sectors include pharmaceuticals, healthcare, engineering, automobiles, financial services and logistics, with collaboration in IT, the digital economy, AI and R&D. Hesse - capital Wiesbaden, largest city Frankfurt - is Germany's financial services hub.
