MSME Ministry and DPIIT Sign MoU to Commercialise GI Products; Launch Bharat GI Banner
The Ministry of MSME and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) signed an MoU at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, to accelerate the commercialisation, quality standardisation and market access of India's Geographical Indication (GI) products, and launched the 'Bharat GI' banner. Under the pact, both bodies will integrate One District One Product (ODOP) into their programmes and facilitate GI collectives and authorised users on ONDC and GeM under the 'Bharat GI' banner.
