Sports Ministry Clears 15-Member Indian Esports Contingent for the 20th Asian Games
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports approved a 15-member Indian esports contingent for the 20th Asian Games, part of a 492-member Indian multi-sport delegation. The Games run in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from 19 September to 4 October 2026, with the esports competition from 23 September to 2 October. India received clearance in four titles: League of Legends, Pokemon UNITE, eFootball and Puyo Puyo Champions. The League of Legends squad is captained by Akshaj Shenoy and the Pokemon UNITE squad by Adnan Mohammed Badshah, while Paritosh of Rohtak is India's sole Puyo Puyo Champions entrant.
