India's 17-year-old Tanvi Sharma won her maiden BWF World Tour title at the Taipei Open Super 300, defeating Vietnam's Nguyen Thuy Linh 21-16, 21-16 in the women's singles final. She became the youngest-ever Taipei Open champion and the first Indian woman since Saina Nehwal (2008) to win the title. Tanvi is coached by Park Tae-sang, the former coach of Olympic medallist PV Sindhu.
