Sasaram, in Rohtas district of Bihar, holds the mausoleum of Sher Shah Suri — Farid Khan, the Afghan noble who defeated Humayun at Chausa in 1539 and Kannauj in 1540 and ruled North India as Sher Shah from 1540 until his death at the siege of Kalinjar in 1545. The tomb, designed by the architect Aliwal Khan and completed under his son Islam Shah, is an octagonal red-sandstone structure about 46 metres high standing on a stepped plinth in the middle of an artificial lake, reached by a causeway; it is often called the finest example of Indo-Islamic architecture between the Lodi and the high Mughal styles, and is sometimes described as “the second Taj Mahal of Bihar”. Sher Shah is equally remembered for administrative work the Mughals later inherited — the silver rupiya, the reorganised land revenue survey under Todar Mal, the sarais and the rebuilt Grand Trunk Road. The distractors are all buried elsewhere: Babur at Kabul, Jahangir at Shahdara near Lahore, and Bahadur Shah I in the Moti Masjid enclosure at Mehrauli, Delhi. Hence the answer is option 4.
